When lighting your candle for the first time, it is important to allow it to burn long enough to liquify the top layer of wax. By doing this it will burn beautifully at every burn. Do not burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time. Trim your wick to approx 1/4 of an inch at each burn, this will reduce black soot on the inside of your jar.
